Norpe Strengthens UK Operation
Norpe, one of the longest established names in display refrigeration in the UK, is delighted to announce major new investment.
Four new shareholders will be taking the majority shareholding whilst still retaining its strong fi nancial and operational links with the Manufacturing unit in Porvoo, Finland.

Chatsworth House
Chatsworth Farm Shop offers quality produce fresh from the estate, tenant farms, Derbyshire suppliers and small food producers.
Established by the Duchess of Devonshire in 1977, its aim was to sell Chatsworthís produce direct to the people who wanted to eat top quality, locally grown food. Since then, the farm shop has developed and diversified, growing from strength to strength to become an acknowledged leader in its field.
As part of a planned refit in early 2008, farm shop manager Andre Birkett, in conjunction with Bradley Refrigeration of Sheffield, specified Norpe UK Ltd as the supplier for the new fish & deli serve-overs.
"We installed Norpe Vega serve-overs in our butchery department in 2005 and, as they have proved so reliable, displayed & refrigerated our products so well, they were the obvious choice when it came to the new fish & deli areas" said Andre.

John Hartley
Norpe are pleased to announce the appointment of our Technical & Service Manager John Hartley. John has 34 years experience in the refrigeration industry, starting as an apprentice at age 16 and progressing his career to become Manager at TJ Refrigeration Limited, responsible for a workforce of 50 employees. While at TJ Refrigeration, John worked closely with Norpe as their technical back up, service & maintenance contractor, co-ordinating large national contracts.
John's knowledge and wealth of experience combined with Norpeís existing sales expertise, gives you, the Norpe customer peace of mind in your product choice, allowing you to focus on your business.

EuroShop 2008 a great success
EuroShop 2008 Trade Fair was the single most important event for Norpe this year.
Our stand was designed to reflect Vision, our exciting new product range unveiled at this yearís show, our commitment to sustainability in product and process and highlight our core values. We were kept busy with enquiries and promising new business. Thank you to all who visited our stand, making Euroshop 2008 a great success all round.

Our plug-in range of chiller and freezer cabinets provide todayís retailer with the perfect display for any application. Euromax - the super low-front integral multideck cabinet with large side glasses and a unique vertical and canopy lighting that directs into shelves, enhances the visibility of products displayed. At our catering lounge we presented our unique service line for hot and cold food and beverages, with the Norcon/Saga cabinets multiplexed to one line. Together they form the heart of any Convenience Store.
News from Norpe Group
The big 2008 marketing event for our group was Euroshop 08 in D¸sseldorf in February. We launched a complete new Supermarket range ñ Vision collection, the new Deli plug-in cabinet and the complete Euromax family.
Norpe are highly focused on environmental issues, striving to:
- Reduce energy consumption
- Reduce the impact of coolants
- Be more prudent with the use of raw materials in cabinet production
- Manufacture using environmentally friendly components
- Recycle wherever possible
We are encouraged by the positive feedback from key customers and markets regarding our new products and how we performed at Euroshop 08. Now our focus is to deliver on our promises.
The production of the Vision collection starts early May with the first orders delivering to Finland and Norway.
Norpe continues to increase market share in Scandinavia, the Balticís and Poland, with the UK market expecting a busy summer and autumn. Our new UK team continue to improve business, giving all our UK customers the best possible service.
We continue our keen focus on sustainability issues, correct temperature and after sales service. Our products, processes and operations are monitored and improved constantly to reduce our impact on the environment.
The convenience sector is growing fast with increased product performance demands and this fits very well with the Norpe business.
We are beginning to see more and more Norpe product in the UK market and we feel confident that we will keep our promises and meet our customersí expectations.
