Norpe first started manufacturing in Porvoo, Finland in 1953.

Today our factory has expanded to approx 21,000 sq.mtrs,
still located in Porvoo.

Production is split into 2 factories:
SM – remote supermarket cases
PI – plug-in integral cases

The supermarket factory is approx 14,500 sq.mtrs and in 2006 approx 26 kilometres of cases were produced. That’s over 16 miles worth of cases!

The plug-in factory is approx 6,500 sq.mtrs and in 2006 produced approx 10,000 cases

Norpe products are manufactured to the highest standards and all cabinets are fully tested before they leave the factory. We have 6 test laboratories, 2 of these are rated to EN 441 Standards, the highest industry test procedures around at the moment and a high focus is placed on energy consumption and environmental safe manufacturing.

With approx 430 employees, including those in the various sales operations in the UK, Norway, Sweden, Russia, Latvia & Estonia and with a group turnover of approx €106M in 2006, you can be confident that when you buy a refrigerated product from Norpe, you are dealing with one of the largest & reliable manufacturers of commercial refrigeration equipment in Europe!
