Lyme Park, Cheshire

The national trust

The National Trust operates more than 140 tea-rooms and restaurants. They are usually located in listed buildings including castles, lighthouses, stables, and even hot-houses.

Lyme Park in Cheshire is set in 1,400 acres of moorland, woodland and parkland containing an early 18th century hunting tower known as “The Cage”. With 17 acres of gardens and a medieval deer park, Lyme Park is one of the most visited attractions in the North West and the famous scene in 'Pride & Prejudice' (1995), where Darcy emerges from a lake, was filmed here.

As part of a recent refurbishment of the tea-rooms, The National Trust specified the following Norpe products:

1 x Euro Classic ECL-130-M-SS
1 x Euro Classic ECL-195-M-SS
1 x SAGA-90A-M-STST Open Fronted

The Norpe cabinets were “housed” by The National Trust’s nominated shopfitters to match the décor of the tea-rooms and serving area.

The National Trust tea-rooms and restaurants are often open at times of year when houses and gardens are closed and many offer special programmes of events, such as lecture lunches, as well as festive meals in the run-up to Christmas.
